The Journey Begins Here

The beginning of the annual journey is about to unfold. With over $1 million raised at the end of Dance Marathon 2013, participants in this annual event are excited to see what the potential is for this upcoming year.

I am a member of Phi Mu here at University of Florida, and through Phi Mu, I learned about and participated in Dance Marathon last year. It is a cause that I hold very close to me, and therefore I feel passionate about writing about Dance Marathon for this upcoming year (which I will again be an active participant in).

Dance Marathon at the University of Florida is an event designed to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. With Shands Hospital right around the corner from campus, this cause is one that truly hits close to home for all of the participants. The aim each year is to make a difference for sick, disabled, and suffering children.

This blog is designed to provide updates regarding the progress of fundraising and special events being hosted to benefit Dance Marathon. I will also be posting about the different components of Dance Marathon, that, when put together, are responsible for each individual and overall success achieved by the event every year.
